For Mr. Trump to deny climate change is the same as I, a board certified cardiologist, telling the patient he does not have a heart attack, when I am standing by his bedside in the emergency room while he is propped up, drenched in sweat, a nasal oxygen cannula in his nostril, his wife with a worried look at his bedside, and I am holding the ECG which clearly shows he is having a heart attack, and in my other hand I am holding the laboratory report that shows his Heart enzymes are almost off the chart.  It is beyond ridiculous.

GUNS AND KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE

Well, I have had enough of this crap.  I don’t want another child killed by some apparently unbalanced person who thinks they have the right to commit such an act.  I don’t want to have any school, church or public place shot up again. What have we come to that we can accept this type of horrible behavior without seeing it for what it is.  It is EVIL and sick thinking and it MUST BE STOPPED.  It is time to come down hard on the NRA and any white supremacist thinking and get this country back on track.  The NRA says it is not the guns that are at fault, it is the people who do it.  Well, where did these evil people get that idea?  From the NRA and their various supporters.  Think of Charlottesville with swastica and clubs and fascist propaganda and a young man who gets caught up in the excitement of the moment and drives his car into the crowd killing a woman.  And a “so-called” President who says “there are good people on both sides.” Where did he ever get such an idea? He is only fanning latent racist views still held by many people who should know better.  We do not need to fight the Civil War again.  

I would like to ask the various killers, if I could, “what has been accomplished with all this killing ?”  Are you really an American Man?  Are you proud of yourself for killing innocent people, especially children? Are you a “REAL” man and entitled to respect?  Not in my book.  It is time to come to our senses and see this terrible development for what it is, a sick paranoid “I’m powerful, I have a big gun and lots of ammunition and I am going to kill lot of people who have done me no harm for the fun of it.”

It is time to outlaw all military-type weapons and require ALL guns to be registered and closely regulated.  It is time to come down hard on the NRA with regulations that are more severe than ever imagined.  We are not going to put up with this any longer.  It is time for our congressional leaders and leaders in every walk of life to show the political courage championed by former President John F. Kennedy and show the world where we stand.

Mr. Trump has broken the law

We have now heard from Mr. Mueller, probably for the last time.  He has done a great job.  His report clearly states that Mr. Trump has broken the law, both in regard to the Russian meddling in our election, and his attempt to obstruct justice.   NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.  Lets keep that in mind.  This is not the time to shrug and give up.  Now is the time to go on the offensive and begin to do everything we can to defeat him in the next election.

I strongly favor going ahead with impeachment proceedings now.  I have so informed all of my representatives in Congress.  He has broken the law and essentially has gotten away with it.  The drive to impeach may not succeed with a Republican Senate, but we must have an active committee pursuing the LAW issue to give him pause.  If we do nothing, thinking he will be defested in the next election, we need to think again and remember the last election.  A lot of things can happen at election time and we need to be more than prepared.  Mr. Trump will take advantage of any perceived weakness and exploit it and ridicule us for "blinking" in the face of pressure and attack our credibility.  We do not want that to happen.  He would like nothing more than to create chaos and confusion surrounding this issue and to test our resolve.

Please do whatever you can to speak frankly to anyone who wishes to discuss this issue.  Do so with the respect we hold for all Americans.  Let our representatives know your honest feelings and let them know you support them at this difficult time.  We are all Americans with a great heritage.

If Mr. Trump loses the election in 2020, you can be sure he will contest the results and blame the Democrats or anyone else for cheating, but will not take any personal responsibility.  We need a man with higher standards than Mr. Trump.

THE BORDER WALL

Mr. Trump said today (January 10, 2019) that a “Wall will work.”  How many lessons do we need to tell us that “Walls don’t Work.”  The most recent wall to come down was the Berlin wall.  In Ancient times it was the great wall of China.  Walls do not work because the maintenance costs are so high.  Once the crisis is gone there is no need for a wall and the money is wasted.  If walls really worked every country in the world would put up walls.  The “crisis” raised by Mr. Trump is a “manufactured” crisis to protect his ego and allow him to say “I won” similar to his response to the Cavanaugh hearings.  If Mr. Trump doesn’t win he will always have someone else to blame.  There is no real crisis requiring an emergency response. Lets put money into making major changes to our immigration system and make it First Class by employing many more agents and set about improving and speeding up the court system to handle all legitimate refugees that appear at our border.
