Is Health Care a "RIGHT

IS HEALTH CARE A “RIGHT”?

Senator Sanders says health care is a “right.”  I disagree.  I don’t see it listed under our Bill OF RIGHTS.  If health care is a Right does that mean any citizen can sue if he/she doesn’t get the same level of care as Bill Gates.  A person may say “The USA is a rich country and I am a citizen of the USA and therefore I am entitled to the highest level of care available and someone or some entity has to pay for it.”  Are those citizens who fail or refuse to follow doctors orders on such things as smoking, obesity, diabetes and a myriad of other illnesses that develop, entitled to demand their “rights.”  I am sympathetic to their need, but not to the extent that I want to pay for it.

Health care is an essential element of all societies, but that does not mean we, the citizens, are responsible and have to pay for every illness of every citizen.  We all have a responsibility for our own health.  Our government has the responsibility to provide for the PUBLIC health through various public health clinics, flu shots, epidemics etc.  We already have the Center for Disease Control  in Atlanta plus a big departments in Washington.  As far as the delivery of health care to our citizens, it is the Government that must create the business CLIMATE that induces, attracts health care personnel from doctors and all ancillary personnel to the field.  The Government has many tools to do this if they wish to make use of them.  Such as using tax advantages to induce physicians and ancillary personnel to locate in rural areas.

Therefore, I do not consider health care a “Right.”    However Health care is not a service that can be withdrawn or used as a political club to pressure citizens to gain some political goal.  Promoting the health of all citizens, should be the primary goal of all governments

Hate Groups

Blog 8/15/17                          HATE GROUPS

Swastika’s, Hitler quotes on T shirts, David Duke praising President Trump for “taking our country back”, and antisemitism coming from a group arriving with clubs and helmets to meet the “foe”?  I can hardly believe that any group would have the nerve to glorify these persons or actions is repugnant to me and a rejection of the many sacrifices made by those who fought in WW II.  We do not need to re-fight the civil war or WW II.  Racism in the USA is our dirty little secret and the dark side of our marvelous and welcoming society.  We must do everything necessary to keep hate and Racism in check.  Mr. Trump must take responsibility for this rebirth of this awful attitude that has come down through his Twitter followers.  He should resign for the good of the country.

Here we go again

Mr. Trump has forgotten he was elected to do a job, not spending his time sending mindless tweets across he country and the world.  No one apparently ever told him that he was going to be criticized right and left for his entire term.  He has insulted everyone and then has the nerve to complain that he is being mistreated.  This is hard knuckle politics and it is up to him to figure out how to manage it and still get his job done.  His latest criticism of a woman just shows us how shallow and unthinking he is.  He reminds me of a spoiled kid in both his demeanor, belligerent look and tone of voice.  I can't believe what he says and most of what he says is useless.  The current outburst is merely another diversion to take away attention from having to produce his entire TAX RETURN.  He must furnish his tax return if we are ever going to know if he is telling the truth.

THE RUSSIAN CONNECTION

I want to make a few observations and comments on the Russian Connection to the Trump Campaign and Presidency.

Today, May 24, 2017, is the first time I have seen the word “Treason or Treasonous” behavior in the Sacramento Bee in an article about Mr. Trump and the Russian Connection.  The words are those of Mr. Brennan, former head of the CIA, in his testimony to Congress on May 23, 2017.  The whole idea of Treason seems far fetched, but that is true of many things we read and hear about Mr. Trump.  The current published comments by Mr. Brennan, make it perfectly clear there were contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians.  We don’t know what was said but we can ask “what might they be talking about at this critical moment?”  Certainly not the weather.  The heavy financial investment by Mr. Trump in Russian business and his complementary comments regarding Putin and Russia raises a very red flag.  General Flynn lied, resigns, and now takes the 5th amendment to prevent testifying before Congress about the Russian Connection.  The President himself passes highly classified information to the Russians in the oval office, a gathering that allowed only Russian journalists, but not US journalists, to attend.  The final blow was the firing of Mr. Comey.  Firing the leader who is investigating your behavior is an admission of guilt until proven otherwise.  We, as ordinary citizens of this country, are allowed to connect the dots above and reach our own conclusions.  The whole series of events is highly suspicious.  I am hopeful Mr. Mueller will be able to set our minds at ease with a thorough investigation of all aspects of this Russian Connection.
